Greetings in The Name of our Lord & Savior Jesus, I'm on my 6th day of a 40 day fast. It's been great! I've had a great time fellowshipping with the LORD! Amazing things had been happening, We was invited to my wife's friend party and a gentlemen (who was drunk) noticed a glow on my face. He told me that he wanted to get out of his life of sin. Me & my Pastor are going to visit him tomorrow. Please pray for us! God get all of the Glory!!! Praise His Holy Name! Sincerely, Mark

I am on day 5 of a 7 day fast, though I already feel God leading me toward a long term fast. Fasting is new to me, so even 7 days seemed like a huge commitment. But, already I am seeing God's faithfulness during this time. I have struggled with fatigue and a pretty constant headache during the past 5 days - both other than that, I've done well. I had to share with someone that I was fasting on Day 3 (they were questioning why I wasn't eating and was concerned about an eating disorder) and they were amazed at how good I looked. I praised God as a testimony of His provision! Thank you for putting this information out there, especially for those of us who are "beginning" fasters and might be afraid of some of the effects of fasting. It's good to know that all that I'm experiencing is normal. :) God Bless!

Hello, I'm on day 2 of many attempts to a long term fast. The longest I have accomplished is 6 days. I hope to do 40 although it has been tough commiting. Please give me any good words of encouragement and support if pssible and reasons to keep going! It's very hard. But I know my soul needs it. Thank You!

Praise Report!
As some of you know I have been dealing with an ongoing custody battle for my youngest son. I just have to thank all of you so much for your prayers and support, if it weren't for my church family I don't know what I would do. I have great news to report, despite the best attempts of the other side, God answered our prayers, all of our prayers! The master granted everything I had asked for, praise God, glory to God! It was just so evident to me that this was an answer to all of our prayers. I am so grateful, and appreciative and in awe of my awesome God, who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. After it was over, I was thinking to myself, what is wrong with me, why am I so surprised, did I forget that God is God, why don't I trust in him more? This was just yet another trial to strengthen my faith, and praise God it has!

Please pray for the Sanders Family. Their son Jason has been on a feeding Tube since birth and the cost of his formula has previously been covered by their insurance but now will no longer be covered. The formula is very expensive and there is no way that they can afford to pay the cost of this.

Pray for God's grace in this situation. Pray that He will provide this need to feed Jason trusting in God's promises Matthew 6:25-33

Pray that He will increase the Sander's faith in this and that His name may be Glorified in this!

UPDATE PRAISE

From Kendra on Facebook
After 4 days on the phone with everybody you could possibly imagine who might have some ability to help us weed through the mess with the insurance company and their denial of Jason's medically necessary formula, we have good news.

Several people, including 2 people who I had never worked with before, took it upon themselves to go to bat with the insurance company to fight for coverage for us. The insurance company representative just called me to let me know they have "clarified" the policy to now INCLUDE his food for tube feeding/infusion.

We are thankful that God put people in place who have supplied our need while working through this problem, that he put people in place with a heart for families with special needs children, and people who knew the right "big wigs" to call and get involved to bring a speedy resolution to this issue.

It will take a couple of days to get the new paperwork "down the pipeline" and with the weekend we won't probably get delivery of his supplies until early next week, but we have enough formula to get us through until then.

Wheeeeewww! What a relief.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and advice. It's good to have friends in your corner :D

My son and I are on our very first long fast. He's on day 27...I'm on day 7. I'm having lots of dizziness throughout the day and I'm exhausted by the afternoon. I've lost almost 13 lbs...and I look pretty good. Hopefully, I'll be able to hang in there. My son has been asthma free since his first week. I'm hoping my arthritis will be gone by the end of this fast.

Thank you Greg and the rest of the worship team! I was in the nursery today and while it was a great blessing to worship with the little ones of our congregation, tonight beside my computer, I was able to worship our God and feel as though I was among my family. What a blessing! Thank you for your dedication and how you lead us week after week to the throne :)

To my dearest, favorite, pastor, Eric. Thank you for your dedication and ministering to your family and teaching us each week. I love you very much. Our family stands amazed at His goodness and faithfulness and the way He continually guides you. Keep seeking Him and leading us :)

Your smiley faced wife :) :) :)

Thank you for your kind words. As you can imagine, the last few days have been emotional while preparing for this morning. God has been so gracious. Our love for one another has increased these last few days. Only God can be that kind.

We also appreciate being part of a fellowship that not only "allows" transparency, but encourages it. Thank you Lord! We pray that our sharing today will inspire the saints to seek God in all things. As we our "stuff" is revealed and addressed, He brings healing. Praise God!

It was such a blessing to see the vision of the church at the family meeting. For me it was like a Pep Rally. So easy to excited about what God is doing in the life of our church.

I have to say, I love our church. It has been a blessing to see God move and diect and build intimate relationships within His body. I look forward to growing together with my brothers and sisters and fellow saints. It will be exciting to see what God does before the next Family Meeting :)

As far as the prayer chain. We can also start a Prayer Request thing on here. I am sure that some may not want to mention more intimate stuff, but for others it is a way to get others we do not even know those involved to pray :)

Aaron, I like your thought on the prayer requests. If anyone has a request to be shared with the church, please email me at robb@oasiscovenant.org and I will glady send it out. You can print it out from your email if that's helpful.

I agree. The meeting was very uplifting and was a true blessing all around. Thank you so much to our leaders Erik, Robb, and Harold, to the excellent worship team and children's church leaders, Beth and Laura for all that they do. I know that I get so much out of belonging to Oasis that I can only pray that I can somehow add something to help in some way. We really do seem like a family, and that is why I love coming and hate to miss a week. I have learned so much over the last year.
          Love,
                   Carine

I have been so convicted by the Lord these past few weeks. I am completely guilty of running with my problems to those around me, and then even being annoyed, if you will, when those people don't give me "good enough advice or love" when I give them so much. I should be running to the Lord first. I should be happy to love my friends. They don't know the Lord, I should allow God's love to flow from me.

I pray that God humbles me. Who am I to worry about what men think? To run elsewhere with my problems, or to just not tell anyone? I pray for humility. Please pray for me.

Why do I seek the approval of mortals when I have Christ to pull me from my despair. I want to learn to run to the Lord more in my times of despiration. Oh how he comforts me and restores my hope when I do. God you are so good. How lovely is your love for me. Never failing and always abounding and full of grace. Make me hungrier for your word God. In Jesus' name
